One fine training…
We received news that there would be a blood donation drive to be held at Bishan CC! Of course, Wildcards wouldn’t miss it for the world! So one 29/6 Saturday, we all went to donate blood after training!
A chance to save lives! In general, 14 units of blood is needed every hour, for surgery, medicine, haematology, accidents, and emergencies. Something that cost us only 15 minutes of our time can save a life.
Registration!! We have to fill up a looooong list of questions to ensure we are suitable for donating blood! This process took about half an hour but we were accompanied by H-TWO-o, Milo, and biscuits hehe.
We had a fun time filling up the questionnaire too! “Since when you went to Vietnam how come i don’t know!”
Some felt nervous about donating blood…. unsure if they will still have enough blood left after the donation. Pease la pease la….
Initial assessment measures your height and weight! Flyers were nervous for this one… They also check if you have enough iron in your blood! Almost there…
Some were nervous… never donated blood before, it could be a daunting task. How would it feel? What could possibly go wrong? What if the blood overflow out of the bag? What is mosquito fly into my bloodstream? Erm.
“Maybe if I close my eyes and take a nap, I wouldn’t feel a thing? Hmm….Goodnight. ”
“"WWWWAAAHHHHHHHHH. WHY THE NEEDLE SO DUA DEI ONE?!!??”
“Chey…. not too bad la. EzPz.”
“Wah, sit here for almost one hour already… want to collect 1l of blood meh? Wah need to pee… how ah”
Nothing beats having your buddies support in times of fear! Reassuring voices and familiar faces, no challenge is too difficult! As for all things in life, it is always better to face it with your brothers (or sisters) in arms!
“Wah… aircon got on anot? Why so hot one? Sweating liao la….”

Wildcards salute you heroes!
We had a blast today!! We were glad to be able to give back to the community that has supported us in so many ways, and do a good deed at the same time!
Everyday, blood is needed for medical reasons. We hope our contributions today will make a difference to somebody who needs it! And we hope that we would never encounter a situation when we run out of blood when somebody desperately needs it.
